Description
In Addington, Oklahoma (Jefferson County), right on the historic Chisholm Trail, is this huge antique store with the most unique and unusual finds. Almost like a little museum in the middle of horse country - nowhere. The red chairs, barred windows and lace curtains are definitely eye-catching. Addington may appear a sleepy little community that you can quickly drive through traveling on Highway 81, but its history is rich, reaching back to the days of the 'wild west.'
Addington is home to several champion barrel racers, and rodeo legends - such as John and Mildred Farris (died in 2013), and Dale Florence Youree, the Ward family (Renee and daughter Janae Ward-Massey). The Youree family was presented with the WPRA’s 2011 Lifetime Family Heritage in Rodeo Award.
Plenty of information can be found about these great people online.

Gosh I love the textures in that building and the red, black and white (well, almost white) combination is terrific, too. Such a very interesting combination of elements - lace, bars on window, weathered wood and rough stucco, shiny metal, linear and curved elements. Very nice. Seen on Women Photographers home page.
