In 2010, when they began the restoration, the project became a local tourist attraction as residents would drive by to see the home come back to life. It had sat vacant for so long that it was covered by bushes and trees and ivy overgrowth.
I wrote the original feature story that was published in the local newspaper and was fascinated by the work the couple had chosen to undertake.
Since then, across America, a revival has spurred such an interest in old homes and fixer uppers there are even shows on television. Our fascination with this effort highlights the best of American entrepreneurship.

Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings.
