Description
Bo kept cowboy Claude in good spirits as they rode the Chisholm Trail in 2007 for the Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive.
In my 2010 solo exhibit at the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center in Duncan, OK, this one I titled "Contributions of a Horse."
This is the text from the art card I created:
"If you think of Oklahoma, the heritage of the whole United States, take out the mix of the cattle industry, the horse, we would not be at the place where we are today - in society, or as a country, the technological advances - we owe a lot to the business (of agriculture). The contributions of the horse, you couldn't do it without the horse." - Mike Smith, foreman, week 1
