Description
A softly braided mane on a horse catches the sunlight enhancing the moment of admiring this horse at a small town local rodeo that has been happening for 128 years (in 2018). This image was photographed in 2011 at the 121st Velma Old Settlers Picnic, Velma, Oklahoma. This three day rodeo is held at the end of July, and the rodeo arena sits in what is like a basin. It's probably the hottest place a rodeo could be held. And it's one of the best rodeos I've ever attended.

Very nice work, Toni!

Thanks Heidi! I'm searching for another set of images I shot at a different rodeo, and saw this one I edited years ago and thought, I need to add that! Sitting here waiting on the bomb cyclone storm to move in.
