Artist's Description

I stumbled onto this scene on a Main Street in the historic district of Duncan. I was fascinated by the combination of seemingly unrelated elements in this photo that had a cohesiveness about them. The peeling stucco over the aged brick, while wood slat boards on the wall all reveal the tenacity of holding strong over the centuries, built by hard workers and manual labor. The newer construction sine continues another angle of the lines of the walls. Late evening sunlight creates deep shadows. It has a pattern and seems abstract but only slightly. I love all the textures in this scene. I think it would be a fantastic framed photograph.
