A simple wreath adorns the door at 301 N. 8th Street, Duncan, OK, during the Christmas season. The building was constructed by the WPA in 1937 and was the old Duncan Public Library. It is now the home of the Stephens County Genealogical Society library and is operated by volunteers. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, (1999). A sign noting its honor was added by the National Society Daughters of American Colonists (2002)
Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings.
