Description
The clock on the historic Washington County, Arkansas courthouse was made in 1904 by the F. Howard Clock Company of Boston, Massachusetts. The courthouse is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is a landmark with a great history. It has four stories.
This structure is the fifth county courthouse and actually sits south of the old Butterfield Stage Coach stop.
This Richardsonian Romanesque style building construction began in June 1904 and was completed in April 1905, for a total cost of $98,500, per the Historic Washington County Arkansas web page.
It is on the National Register of Historic Places.
