Description
Oklahoma wind whispers
threatening the shelter
of the lean-to shack
storms come and go
on the lonely prairie.
This is the second version of a previous image, with just a few minor revisions in my poem and placement on the image.
What appears to be an abandoned farm structure out on the lonely prairie on the great plains of Southwest Oklahoma - a large storm cloud is in the background, but was very pale in the distance.
A few layers and my words inspired by the overall scene. I photographed this landscape May 26, 2015, as tornadoes and severe storms threatened much of Oklahoma and Texas during this Memorial Day weekend.
It amazes me how so many of these small structures dot the landscape standing resolute against what the weather brings. They are most definitely the landmarks and monuments of the American West and pioneer life no matter how modern our world has become.
NOTE: If you order a product item, make sure that you adjust the size (reduce) using the tools provided in order mode or the words may be partially cropped out. That is the buyer's responsibility to adjust the image. Fine Art America/Pixels does not adjust that in printing.
