Description
Relics of the Past - I photographed several images in 2017 and five years later, I'm making them public.
Farm equipment is far from boring. Imagine the stories these old machines hold, the farmer just trying to work the land, make an honest living and survival for his family. I find it absolutely necessary to call more attention to the troubles that they have endured for lifetimes and generations, especially in 2022, as this lifestyle, a foundation for America, and other countries around the world, is being threatened.
Did you know that John Deere's father died when Deere was only four-years-old, in 1808. He was raised by his mother. As a young blacksmith in his adult life, he listened to his customers and realized that cast-iron plows were not efficient. He made a plow from steel using a broken saw blade that was polished.
