This turtle wandered into my workspace one day, so I grabbed my camera and did a quick turtle study/portrait session. He was cooperative and then I let him go on his way - outside. I've added a few images of him to my gallery here. If you know exactly what type of turtle he is, please post a comment. I did some research for turtles in Oklahoma, but it was not helpful. He didn't look like any of them. In fact, he's one of the prettier turtles I've seen here.

Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings. I wrote that in a book I published in 2009, "Riding the Chisholm Trail: Once in a Lifetime" after I had that experience that changed the way I looked at the world around me.
