Unfortunately, this entire area was destroyed by Hurricane Michael in October 2018. It appears that for now, there will be no rebuild, as evidenced by the social media posts on their Facebook page.

Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings. I wrote that in a book I published in 2009, "Riding the Chisholm Trail: Once in a Lifetime" after I had that experience that changed the way I looked at the world around me. Now 10 years later, that single day and the two years it took me to edit the images and write the stories in that book, I realize it continues to impact me. I decided to get curious on FB again, and found that THIS WEEKEND (Labor Day 2022) is a soft opening, by reservation, at the former Sunset Coastal Grill. Now it will be known as The White Marlin, in the location of Sunset Coastal Grill that was destroyed by Hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018." I know that when my husband and I took our anniversary trip in 2010, we loved dining at the Grill; and we were bummed to learn of its demise in 2018, after the hurricane. Knowing that little community will again have a nice dining establishment is fantastic!
