I was given the honor and responsibility of overseeing the Women Photographers group here on FAA, in early March 2018. It had a backlog of pending images dating back to October 2017, more than 1,300. It is now in the Very High activity sector for groups, but that is because of the active participation of many members. I've added new features every two or three days, and even have added a special Curator's Selection spotlight on the home page. If you are a female photographer, and interested in joining the group, please see the home page and discussions for more information before joining and submitting images. If you are just a person who enjoys photography, or looking for something to purchase please browse the group images.

I've been sorting through my images and creating new galleries. The photos are in other older galleries but I wanted to break it down and freshen the entire listings. As I go through them, I will remove some from their former locations and just have them in the new galleries. This will allow quicker viewing of galleries, with fewer images in them. Some of the new galleries are: Firefighters, Quilts, Silhouettes, Girly Girls. There's also Trains, tractors, trolleys and trykes! I will be adding images to each of these. Enjoy and please share the links when you see something you like or know someone else will like!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I'm not a huge fan of it because of the commercialism, though I do enjoy the creative efforts by many, connected with this holiday. I love the old vintage children's cards and photographers' unique ideas for photo shoots of tots. This image "Soul Mates" is more in keeping with what the day should symbolize. Not just one day, but to be by each other's side forever. I'm apparently not the only one who feels that, since this image is proving quite popular. Thank you to the buyers of this image. I've been busy this week going through my online sites, deleting old galleries on my original website (not the one here). Just trying to spruce up my online presence. I have long had a blogger blog, but they've done some changing and so I need to relearn it as I'm not happy with the functionality of it at this time. In the process of this work, I tackled a long overdue project and designed a new business card. Keeping it simple is my 2012 goal.
