Artist's Description
Oklahoma cowboys keep the longhorns moving as they head through Duncan on the final day of the first week journey. This was the 2007 Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive. The heritage herd started at the Texas/Oklahoma border and it took them four weeks to move north to Kansas. This photograph was shot on Chisholm Trail Parkway just as the herd neared the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center.
