Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings. I wrote that in a book I published in 2009, "Riding the Chisholm Trail: Once in a Lifetime" after I had that experience that changed the way I looked at the world around me. Now 10 years later, that single day and the two years it took me to edit the images and write the stories in that book, I realize it continues to impact me. Love this shot.. Brings back good memories.. As a boy in boy Central Texas you started at the local roping pen with roping goats... Then as your talents and size grew you worked your way up to calves.... Being raised on a ranch with 5 brothers and 400 head of cattle also provided for healthy competition too. Love the shot, good luck in the Raised Country Raised Right Photo Contest which I am facilitating... Could very well be the tie-breaker, so I'll keep my vote until the very end... Johnny
