Artist's Description

Small communities in the tornado alley region are starting to remove structures like this old water tower for fear they become debris, missile projectiles in volatile storms and high winds. A news story Feb. 16, 2016, highlighted the plight of these old towers, in Okemah. Some want to preserve the towers, while others see them as a safety hazard and liability. Because of this revived interest in these, it makes me glad that I took the time to photograph this one a few years ago.

Everyone needs a once in a lifetime experience. You know the kind. One that leaves a lasting impression and even changes how you look at life, how you look at your surroundings.
